Gloria w rękach inżynierskich, menedżerskich i kulturystycznych

Budynek, w którym ma siedzibę kino Gloria uważany jest za jeden z najciekawszych budynków modernistycznych. Po kilkudziesięciu latach jednak to piękno najlepiej obserwować z daleka. Z bliska bowiem widać, że budynek nie jest w najlepszej kondycji technicznej, delikatnie mówiąc. Wkrótce czekają go specjalistyczne badania i ekspertyzy.

My już dziś postanowiliśmy na własne oczy sprawdzić, czego się można spodziewać. Dzięki uprzejmości bytomskiej straży pożarnej, która udostępniła nam drabinę, mieliśmy okazję zobaczyć z bliska słynne płytki z piaskowca, z których składa się elewacja. W wyprawie wzięła udział moja zastępczyni - niezastąpiony zarządca nieruchomościami, która niejedną inwestycję podniosła na nogi oraz społecznie moja żona, jakby nie było, czynny inżynier budownictwa od infrastruktury kultury.

Tak wyglÄ…da elewacja z bliska

Płytki z piaskowca, kiedyś pełniące funkcję nie tylko ozdobną, dziś prawdopodobnie przepuszczają wodę. Po puknięciu palcem, odpowiada głuchy dźwięk. Nie świadczy to o ich dobrym trzymaniu się ściany.

I tak ten nasz kot w worku mniej więcej wygląda:-)

Pobraliśmy próbki płytek, które spadły na gzyms. Obecnie badane są przez naukowców z Politechniki Śląskiej.

Wkrótce zarządca budynku przeprowadzi szerszą ekspertyzę. Wtedy będziemy mogli się zastanowić, który z wariantów rewitalizacji budynku trzeba będzie wybrać.
